Far fetched conspiracy theories - pt. 1

Recent events have really been spurring my imagination. I’ve seen way too much X-files, The Twilight Zone, and conspiracy shows on the surface for my own good. LOL

Events that are happening seem to be pieces of one gigantic puzzle. Each event/item is one piece.

Cate Armstrong: Cate seems to be running the DRC, or thinks she is. She’s pompous, rude, and very proud. She looks down on anyone who questions her or wants to know more. At first I thought it was Sydney and just Sydney causing the problems at the first chatlog I read. I was pissed at Sydney for not shutting up. I wanted facts and details from the DRC and it seemed that Sydney’s lack of manners ruined the chances of getting any. But then I witnessed another chatlog where Cate didn’t have to deal with a difficult audience member, and she was just as evasive and gave no real details. Then to see a private chatlog where she was rude herself was just icing. The facts of Cate that make up this piece are that she feels she has all this right to be this way because she’s ‘bringing in the money’. She emphasizes that with the fact that she gets two votes.

First theory element: Cate’s bringing the money and she’s got a controlling vote situation with the DRC. Whose money is she bringing in? And what is she promising for the money? Could be many things.

Douglas Sharper: This man is a researcher and hunter. Isn’t DRC, but seems to do a lot of their bidding. Why? He’s arrogant and hot headed. Doesn’t cooperate with the DRC, conspires against them at times, and doesn’t take instructions well. He’s closer to Cate than others. He’s intent on what he considers his mission, but it’s tearing his sanity apart at the same time. What is the motivation?

Second theory element: Here, I’m tying Sharper in with Cate, because there’s something going on. I don’t think it’s relationship wise, although I can’t rule it out. I don’t see Sharper doing something just because ‘his woman’ wants it done. He’s too rebellious and independent for that. Rather, I think Cate’s either got something on him that would ruin his life, or she’s using him for a great reward.

Bahro: They’ve been here all along. They’re not beings that truly have threatened the DRC, so why is the DRC threatened by them now and using them as an excuse? Wheely died a tragic death - the bahro are blamed - not by confirmation of facts and investigation, but more through association and speculation. A bahro was there with Wheely, that much we know for sure. What killed her and why, we do not have definitive proof of. At least none that the DRC will give us. Why not? What is their motive in that? If it was a tragic death by a bahro - and intentional - they would be very forthcoming in presenting the facts rather than let the explorers’ imaginations do it for them. Based on the DRC’s withholding of evidence, I’m betting the bahro did not kill her - at least not directly. So what is the DRC up to in relation to the bahro?

Third theory element: Tying in the bahro to Cate and Sharper, this makes for an option. Cate is using Sharper to help with the money situation. She’s bringing money in. At my home on the surface, we have lots of beautiful farmland with large forested areas. It’s prime hunting land, and doctors and lawyers from the big cities are buying the land up like crazy. What if Noloben is in the same situation? Either Sharper is supposed to collect trophies for those rich contributors, or he’s to act as a guide to the rich hunters. In return, they are financing restoration projects.

Noloben: What’s going on there? The bahro evidently want us to go there and help them with something. Cate and Sharper do not want us going there at all.

Fourth theory element: Cate does not want explorers to know what’s going on in Noloben. Sharper is her pawn in pulling this off - which would explain his loss of emotional stability that seems to be growing worse.
